I have a broad experience in drug development within AstraZeneca and worked across several therapeutic areas since 2000. For more than a decade, I supported development of the respiratory pipeline from the clinical programming perspective, led global New Drug Application/Biologics License Application submissions, Regulatory Responses, Advisory Committee Meeting preparations and Sponsors Inspections (FDA, EMA, PMDA). In 2016, I was honored to receive an internal AstraZeneca Global Medicines Development Award in the ‘Inspirational Leadership’ category for my ability to inspire, motivate and influence.
In my opinion, AstraZeneca is one of the world’s most exciting BioPharmaceutical companies because in recent years it started to embrace AI across the whole of its operations. I was eager to became part of this transformational journey and in 2018 joined the Data Science & AI team within BioPharmaceuticals R&D. In my role as an AI Product Manager, I bridge the gap between business units and artificial intelligence researchers by understanding and communicating business needs, overseeing development and ensuring delivery of the AI products.
I hold a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Moldova.
The use of artificial intelligence in the BioPharmaceutical industry has redefined how scientists develop new drugs, tackle diseases and engage with patients, and I am excited be part of this transformation.
